Training, Facilitation, & Consultation

I design and facilitate participant-centered programs that promote experiential learning and collaboration. I’ve worked with teams around the world to build capacity, strategize, and communicate more effectively. I also partner with leaders and leadership teams to design and think through programs they’re running.

Facilitation

  • Having a neutral facilitator is often one of the most crucial pieces to organizing a great staff retreat. I work with team leaders to design and execute their vision.

  • I run and design both physical and online programs, including traditionally structured conferences as well as “unconferences”, where participants are encouraged to take the helm and design the program as well. Both types of programs require careful planning and execution.

  • Ensure that your team is on the same page and able to see how their work fits into the big picture and vision. I work with teams in strategic plan processes that motivate, excite, and unite team members and also help them measure their success.

  • Big meeting coming up? Specific things you’re trying to tackle with your team? I am available to design and facilitate single meetings or meeting series for groups. I work with team leaders to identify meeting desired outcomes and work to ensure efficient, and enjoyable meetings.

Trainings

  • “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.” I work with groups of up to 25 to review the basic principles of press and media appearances, practice, and role play.

  • After running interactive and productive multi-continent online meetings for a decade, COVID-19 hit, and the urgency of these tools exploded. I work with organizations and educational institutions to ensure that their meetings and instruction achieve maximum engagement and participation.

  • I train small groups on everything from “how to have difficult conversations” to conflict resolution and nonviolent communication. Let’s partner up to foster healthy communication and harmonious teams!

Tracy Pfeiffer, MD

Ms. Ngo conducted an extremely productive Media Training Session. In a sound bite world, with new information constantly bombarding the public, getting the point across is a challenge.  And the media is expert at setting "traps" to stir controversy or take the speaker off message. It is vital that we communicate our message to the media succinctly and with clarity. Unfortunately, as physicians we have no training in this. One never knows when one will be called upon to be a spokesperson on behalf of your practice, hospital or Society.  And the skills learned can be used in your patient interactions also.  The Media Training Session was so productive because we learned how to effectively communicate our message, pitfalls to look out for and avoid with the media, and practiced our skills live with the group.  Not only did I learn new skills, but I learned tremendously from observing the presentations of others. When we learned each of us would "perform" in front of the group, I think everyone was a little nervous about being judged.  But Ms. Ngo creates a warm atmosphere of camaraderie and, even as a somewhat nervous public speaker, I enjoyed it and the feedback I received. It was well worth it. I can tell you that it helped me immensely.  The Session gave me tools that I use to this day.  I would take this Session again and again if I had the opportunity.
